Job Purpose The Medical Assistant at Advanced Relief Institute plays acrucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of the practice. This individual assists healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments while ensuring a comfortable and organized patient experience. The Medical Assistant also manages patient records, administers medications as directed, and contributes to maintaining a clean and sterile environment within the clinic.
Key Accountabilities
I. Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits.
II. Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
III. Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately.
IV. Administer medications and injections under the direction of healthcare professionals.
V. Perform routine tests and collect samples as needed.
VI. Ensure accurate documentation of patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
systems.
VII. Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers.
VIII. Maintain infection control and sterile environment standards.
IX. Assist in managing medical supplies inventory and ordering as needed.
X. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and fellow staff members.
XI. Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Requirements
I. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred.
II. Relevant certification (e.g., CMA, RMA) is a plus.
III. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
IV. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
V. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
VI. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
